KEDIRI — In a corner of CV ECHOTECH's production facility in Kediri, East Java, sits a quality control laboratory that is one of the key points in the production process. This is where raw-material and product samples are checked before important decisions are made: accept, process, or release for shipment.
Quality as part of the business process
For the company, quality is not just a product characteristic but part of the entire business process. Every industry has different technical needs and acceptance standards, so inspections are aligned with the specification agreed with the buyer.
Three inspection points
When raw material arrives. Copra from the sourcing centres is checked for physical condition, sampled and tested. Non-conforming material is separated before it enters production.
During processing. Checks are carried out while the product is being processed, so deviations can be detected early.
Before shipment. The final product is checked again against the product specification and buyer requirements. Product and documents are verified before release for shipment.
Five quality principles
- Careful selection of raw material.
- Alignment of specifications with buyer needs.
- Quality inspection and test coordination.
- Product traceability through batch and shipping records.
- Continuous process improvement.
Open to third-party testing
Besides internal checks, inspection requirements, sampling methods and test results can be coordinated according to each transaction, including when the buyer appoints an independent surveyor. This open approach helps build trust through clear product information and responsible communication.
