KEDIRI — Eastern Indonesia is known as one of the country's important copra-producing regions. Islands across Maluku, Sulawesi and Nusa Tenggara are home to many smallholder coconut farms that have long supported local livelihoods.
CV ECHOTECH builds on this potential with a raw-material sourcing network covering eight active copra sourcing centres in four provinces.
The supply network
The sourcing centres are located in:
- North Maluku: Tobelo
- Central Sulawesi: Palu and Toli-Toli
- Maluku: Ambon, Buru Island, Tual and Saumlaki
- East Nusa Tenggara: Adonara
All raw material from these centres is shipped to the company's production site in Sambirejo, Kediri, East Java.
Why several centres at once?
Relying on a single source is a risk to supply continuity. Weather, harvest seasons and inter-island vessel schedules can affect copra availability in any one region. With several centres, supply can be coordinated from other regions when one area faces constraints.
This approach allows CV ECHOTECH to record actual production of around 600 tons per month, with available supply capacity of up to 1,000 tons per month.
Coordination and traceability
Every delivery from a sourcing centre is recorded with its supplier identity, origin, type, quantity and lot number on arrival. This data is the basis of product traceability, something international buyers ask about more and more.
What it means for buyers
For importers, refineries and traders, a broad sourcing network means better supply certainty for long-term contracts. Buyers can discuss volume, schedule and specification needs from the start, while the company's team coordinates raw-material availability across the network.
